Travel Photography: Food and Restaurant

Photos I've taken and edited depicting food and restaurant.

Photos I have taken and edited depicting food and restaurants. Many of these have been featured in articles I have written for Yelp and for the Crazy Wisdom Journal printed newspaper in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
"it is so gorgeous and charmingly decorated with little spaces everywhere to cozy up for private conversations."

"Fastest Gluten-Free Breakfast or Lunch: The Wafel Shop — Waffles for breakfast, lunch, and dinner alone or with company. These are a blank canvas for your wildest topping combinations. Walk down the block afterward for super creamy Frozen Yogurt with Mochi at Lab Coffee."  - excerpt from "Best of" Gluten Free Ann Arbor article written by me for Crazy Wisdom printed newspaper.
"this is a great place to go with friends who don't like coffee because their smoothie menu is delightful and unique."
-Excerpt from review by me.
"Best Gluten-Free Breakfast on the Go: Roos Roast — The best thing about the tasty muffins and pastries here is their symbiosis with the coffee. They use the “long-pull” coffee method, which creates a sublime texture. Take a sip between each bite of your muffin." - excerpt from "Best of" Gluten Free Ann Arbor article written by me for Crazy Wisdom printed newspaper.
"Best Gluten-Free Healthy and Local Food: Juicy Kitchen — Baked Eggs with Sunflower Toast and an Apple Walnut Muffin. Almost everything here can be made gluten-free, and it’s such an adorable place. It feels so wholesome with counter service and a homey dining area." - excerpt from "Best of" Gluten Free Ann Arbor article written by me for Crazy Wisdom printed newspaper.
"A Gluten-Free American Dream: Washtenaw Dairy — Try Bear Claw and Mackinaw Island Fudge ice creams. For those of you recently gluten-free people still struggling to find the new “normal,” nothing is more cathartic than getting a huge two-scoop cup of ice cream and walking around this lovely neighborhood. (Most ice cream is gluten-free, but some flavors do contain wheat components. The best thing to do is read the ingredients list to identify the gluten-free flavors.)"  - excerpt from "Best of" Gluten Free Ann Arbor article written by me for Crazy Wisdom printed newspaper.
"I never really understood the TV show "Cheers" until I came here.  This is the first time I've ever been to a restaurant where I can imagine getting to know and love the staff, coming here every day and not getting tired of it, and spending hours at a time here because it's just as relaxing (if not more) than home.
Sit at the bar.
The bartenders are sweet, funny, real people like the other servers.  And the bar itself seems engineered to make it possible to sit comfortably (possibly even nap) for hours at the bar.  It is also a great facilitator of sitting upright while partaking in their mind blowing Long Island Iced Teas (limit two per customer for good reason).  This is the closest thing I've tasted to a "Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster".
I'm gluten free, so it is crucial that their burger and fries must be delicious even without a bun, and they are.  They are cooked perfectly as you order them.  There are lots of toppings to choose from.  The fries are crispy on the outside and molten deliciousness on the inside.  And, consistently served by people I wish were family members of mine, because they are so sweet and pleasant.
Dessert is a completely unique experience here.  They don't list them on the menu, you have to ask.  Their solution to the gluten free dessert question is the rice crispy Klondike Ice Cream bar, with. . .  A GIGANTIC MOUNTAIN OF FRESH WHIPPED VANILLA CREAM, just for good measure.  I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the culture of a place humble enough to put a Klondike bar as an option for dessert, just because it is amazing.
I love, love, love this place."

"Best Gluten-Free Indian Food: Curry On — The Uttapam is a fluffy, savory pancake with a variety of flavorings, sauces, and sides. Also try a Rose Faluda (a cold and sweet beverage) with basil seeds."  - excerpt from "Best of" Gluten Free Ann Arbor article written by me for Crazy Wisdom printed newspaper.
"I was dreaming about this place again and I realized that the reason half my Instagram feed is photos of foods I can't even eat from Zingerman's is because this place is where a foodie goes to worship food. It is like walking into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, except, here all foods are equally magical. Not only the candy."

"Best Gluten-Free Lunch Menu: Zingerman’s Deli — This is the place where a foodie goes to worship food. Almost any sandwich here can be made on the most luscious gluten-free bread ever. Top it off with a soft, rich Townie Brownie."  - excerpt from "Best of" Gluten Free Ann Arbor article written by me for Crazy Wisdom printed newspaper.
"As pretty as a storybook, and quite a selection of bulk spices. Beautiful packaging. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. This is a good place to shop for nice gifts for your foodie friends. Also convenient that it's right next to the Farmer's Market."

"Best Gluten-Free Date Night: Lena – Plantain Tostones and Baked Goat Cheese appetizers, Beef Brisket Taco entrée, with Flan D’Caramel dessert. Also some of the best cocktails anywhere, and all in a romantic setting."  - excerpt from "Best of" Gluten Free Ann Arbor article written by me for Crazy Wisdom printed newspaper.
